Support business training and event information for sexual minorities

We publish training and event information about support projects such as sexual minorities.

Workshops for managers and personnel managers of companies and organizations "Workplace and LGBT-Creating a Workplace where everyone can work on their own"

The purpose is to increase the number of workplaces that are easy for all people to work in the prefecture regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity by knowing about sexual minorities (LGBTs, etc.) to hold training.
We will also provide basic knowledge about sexual minorities, the life story of the instructor, the problems of the parties concerned, explanations on corporate responses, and consider cases divided into groups.
(This training is sponsored by Kanagawa Prefecture, and is co-hosted by Yokohama City and Sagamihara City.)

Please apply to Kanagawa Symbiosis Promotion Headquarters Office by Friday, September 6th. For details, please check the Kanagawa homepage (outside site).

How to participate

By the day before the course is held, the invitation URL and material data will be sent by e-mail.
Please note that communication fees will be borne by the participants.
Recording and recording functions, unauthorized sharing of video URLs, and information disclosure by participants are prohibited.

Panel tapestry exhibition at Yokohama City University

Awareness panels and tapestries will be exhibited along with materials recommended by Professor Hibiko Sato seminar at Yokohama City University and LGBTQ.

  • Exhibition period From Wednesday, July 3, 2024 to Wednesday, July 31, 2024 ※The materials will be exhibited until Sunday, September 22nd.

[Finished] June is Pride Month!

June is the “Pride Month” in which global awareness-raising activities are being conducted as a month to deepen understanding of sexual minorities (LGBTs), etc., and raise their rights. In conjunction with this pride month, under the theme of "Diversity & Inclusion", tapestry exhibitions will be held to create opportunities to think about diversity as "familiar to yourself." Please drop in and take this opportunity to think about sexual diversity.

Date and time: From Wednesday, June 19, 2024 to Tuesday, July 2

Daily exhibitions of sexual minorities

We will exhibit tapestries related to the worries and troubles of surrounding people, such as sexual minorities and their families.
Location: Yokohama City Hall 1F Exhibition Space B (next to Matsumotokiyoshi)

Distribution of educational materials under the theme of "Diversity & Inclusion"

Hiroshi Murakami, who is active as an editorial designer and art director, has created a design with the theme of "Diversity & Inclusion". We will distribute educational materials using the design you have created in the exhibition space B on the first floor of Yokohama City Hall.

※Mr. Hiroshi Murakami: He has been involved in the production of the gay magazine "Buddy" since 2006, and has been the editor-in-chief since 2011 until the March 2019 issue. In June 2019, we launched a web media newTOKYO for LGBTQ+ to propose lifestyles for the parties concerned and Arai. Currently, he is active in creating various content related to LGBTQ+, as well as an editorial designer and art director.

Posting Rainbow Flag at Lakys Front Store

A rainbow flag will be posted on stores at commercial facilities in Yokohama City Hall.

[Finished] Tapestry exhibition at Kanto Gakuin University

In line with the Kanto Gakuin University-Kanagawa Bar Association Comprehensive Partnership Agreement Commemorative Symposium "LGBTQ+ Issues and Prospects" to be held at Kanto Gakuin University Yokohama / Kannai Campus on Saturday, March 9th, sexual minorities and their families We will exhibit tapestries related to the worries and concerns of people around them. Check it out!

  • Period: From Monday, March 4, 2024 to Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 to 17:00
  • Location: Near the entrance on the 1st floor of Kanto Gakuin University Yokohama Kannai Campus (1-1-1 Mandai-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama-shi)

"I want to know about LGBT!" Do you have any questions or concerns, such as "How should I respond as a company?"
Inviting instructors from ReBit, a certified NPO, ReBit, and conduct a workshop so that everyone can work on their own.
In accordance with the revision of the Labor Policy Comprehensive Promotion Law, this training also touches on "SOGI Harassment and Auting in the Workplace" that clearly states that it falls under power harassment.
Participation fee is free and advance application is required. We look forward to your participation.

Sexual minorities, such as the so-called "LGBT" are said to be 5-8% of the population.
On the other hand, there are people who are not able to consult anyone and are isolated because they are afraid of being known to others.
As an opportunity to think about "things familiar to yourself", we will hold an exhibition on the worries and troubles of surrounding people, such as sexual minorities and their families at the New City Plaza. Check it out!
