About the whole procedure
- We perform user registration of Yokohama-shi electronic application, report system beforehand. In addition, since it is necessary to perform electronic signature with digital certificate, in the case of application from smartphone, please install application called Yokohama e application (Yokohama-shi electronic application, report system portal). (In the case of PC, please confirm page of Yokohama-shi electronic application, report system (outside site).)
- Enter required items from the application page for the certificate you want to obtain.
- After confirming the input contents, perform an electronic signature. In the case of a smartphone, the dedicated application (Yokohama e-application) starts automatically, so read the digital certificate of My Number Card. Corporations read "electronic certificates based on commercial registration" from their personal computer. (When individual applies on PC, please confirm page of Yokohama-shi electronic application, report system (outside site).)
- Return to the original application page and press the application button.
- After confirming the application details at the ward office Tax Division, you will receive an email requesting a fee payment. From My Page, proceed to the fee settlement screen and make payment by credit card or smartphone payment.
- After confirming payment information at the ward office Tax Division, we will send you a certificate by mail.

Individuals need a My Number Card (a digital certificate for signature is valid), a smartphone (for reading My Number Card), a credit card or smartphone payment.
For corporations, "electronic certificates based on commercial registration", personal computers, credit cards or smartphone payments are required.
Credit cards support brands are VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and Diners Club.
The types of smartphone payments are PayPay and LINEPay.
We are very sorry, but we cannot use the online application. You have you apply at ward office and administrative service corner, or please use request by mail.
The following certificates are eligible for online application.
- Municipal tax, prefectural tax, forest environmental tax tax (non-taxable) certificate
- Tax payment certificate
- Certificate of property tax (evaluation certificate, public dues certificate)
You have you apply for proof that you are not eligible at ward office or administrative service corner, or please use request by mail.
After paying the fee, we will deliver it in about 2 days to 1 week. However, it may take longer than usual depending on the time of payment of fees, postal circumstances, weekends and holidays, etc.
Other than the person, you will not be eligible for online application. If you are in proxy/agent, please apply at the ward office or administrative service corner.
As we perform identity verification using electronic certificate, other documents are not necessary in principle, but depending on application contents, ward office may ask you to submit documents individually.
It is not an electronic delivery. We will issue a paper certificate and send it by mail.
Individuals will be sent to the resident registration place, and corporations will be sent to the location in the registry. It is not possible to specify other destinations.
As with the usual fee, it will be 300 yen per case. The postage fee will be charged separately.
We will respond to express delivery, specific records, and simple registered mail.
Apart from the various certificate issuance fees to be issued, you will be required to pay the shipping cost corresponding to the desired return method and the number (weight) of certificates to be obtained.
About application form
At the time of application, please select the ward where the tax item of the proof to be applied (the ward where the tax payment letter of advice was issued).
Since the taxation of personal city, prefectural tax, and forest environmental tax is levied on the ward where you live as of January 1, the due date, you will need to enter the Address as of January 1 to confirm whether or not the certificate you applied for is issued.
By online application, you cannot apply for municipal tax, prefectural tax, forest environmental tax tax certificate and tax payment certificate at the same time. We ask you to apply separately. In this case, a shipping fee will be required for each procedure. If you want to apply at once, please apply at the ward office or administrative service corner, or use the request by mail.
We read digital certificate mounted on my number card and perform electronic signature. This is to verify the identity of the person based on the electronic signature "name, Address, date of birth". (This is a general identity verification method when applying for administrative procedures online.)
For consultation on loss of personal identification number, please contact the reception desk of your municipal office (in the case of Yokohama City, Family Registry Division Registration Section, the ward office of your ward). Please note that we cannot understand at the ward office Tax Division.
You can use it with a valid credit card.
About confirmation after application
Before paying the fee, you can withdraw your application from My Page.
Please note that you will not be able to cancel your application after paying the fee.
If the application is completed successfully, an application completion email will be sent to the e-mail address registered at the time of application.
In addition, when you check the application status on My Page, "I sent an application" is displayed. If you have started the examination at the ward office, it will be displayed as "I am checking the application details."
The position where your My Number Card is placed on your smartphone may not be correct. For details, please check the minor portal page (outside site).
The following possibilities are possible.
・Possibility of being classified as spam
Depending on your email settings, you may have been classified as spam. An e-mail will be sent from the address of "auto-yokohama@shinsei.city.yokohama.lg.jp", so please check the spam settings of your e-mail.
・Possibility of incorrect entry of email address
You may have entered your email address incorrectly. Sorry to trouble you, but please withdraw the application once, update the user registration to the correct e-mail address, and apply again.

About digital certificate
If there is a change in Address or name due to moving or marriage, you will need to re-register the digital certificate, but the procedure has not been completed and the information remains old. In this case, online applications cannot be accepted, so please re-register your digital certificate at the municipal office where you live (in the case of Yokohama City, your ward office Family Registry Division Registration Section).
If the digital certificate is invalid, you cannot apply because you cannot perform digital signature.
To enable the digital certificate, please go to the municipal office where you live (in the case of Yokohama City, Family Registry Division Registration Section, your ward office). In that case, please make sure to enable the "signature digital certificate". (We cannot cope in each ward office Tax Division.)
