Response to survivors due to the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake (National Health Insurance)
We sincerely thank all those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024.
The Disaster Relief Act has been applied to some areas of Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures.
We will inform you about the handling of National Health Insurance for those affected by the disaster as follows.
1 About presentation of insured person's identification
If the insured person's card cannot be presented to an insurance medical institution due to the disaster, the name, date of birth, contact information (such as Phone number) and Address.
You can get a medical examination by making a claim.
2 About partial contribution, reduction of taxes of insurance premiums
Due to the disaster, housing, household goods and other property were severely damaged due to the disaster, and to pay a partial burden and insurance premium at the time of medical consultation
If you have any problems, you may be eligible for a tax exemption.
Please talk with ward office Insurance and Pension Division about application method and detailed contents of reduction of taxes.
