Response to the survivors caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake (Medical Insurance for the Elderly)

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024.                            
The Disaster Relief Act has been applied in some areas of Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures.
We will inform you of the handling of medical care for the elderly in the elderly as follows.

1. Presentation of insured person identification

  Insured persons in the affected area are evacuated due to loss of the insured person's card, etc. or evacuation while leaving them at home.
  If you are unable to present it to an insurance medical institution, you can consult with your name, date of birth, contact information (Phone number, etc.), or Address.
  You can do it.

2 About reduction of taxes of partial contribution, premium

  Due to the disaster, housing, household goods and other property suffered significant damage, and paid a portion of the burden and insurance premiums at the time of medical consultation.
  If you have any problems, you may be eligible for a reduction.
  Please consult with the ward office Insurance and Pension Division for details on how to apply and how to reduce taxes.

About consideration measures for one where window burden ratio becomes 20%

For those who have a window burden ratio of 20%, consideration measures to reduce the burden increase due to the increase in the monthly outpatient care window burden ratio to 3,000 yen will be taken from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2025. Will be taken for three years until March 30, 2025. (Not applicable to hospitalized medical expenses)

Please be careful about refund fraud and suspicious calls

Many frauds have occurred in Yokohama City, claiming to be ward office staff and claiming cash as refund procedures such as medical expenses and insurance premiums. Please note that tricks are diversifying, and tricking methods are becoming more complex and sophisticated.
