Handling of municipal Subway regular tickets due to the spread of COVID-19 infection (related to the declaration of emergency issued in July 2021)

 Following the declaration of a state of emergency for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government issued by the government, we will respond to the refund of municipal subway commuter pass as follows.

1 Eligible customers

 Customers who wish to receive a refund because they do not use regular tickets due to the issuance of a state of emergency for Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

2 Handling methods

Commuter pass (commuting/commuting) ※Limited to commuter passes where stations located in Tokyo are included in the valid section.

 If you do not use your commuter pass for a certain period of time following the declaration of a state of emergency, you must complete the refund before or at the same time as purchasing a new commuter pass. If a new commuter pass is purchased (overwritten) using the same PASMO card as the PASMO commuter pass, the information on the old commuter pass will be erased and you will not be able to receive a refund.


(1) Commuter pass valid on or before July 11, 2021

 The refund will be made on July 11, 2021 as the date of the application. As with the regular refund, you will be charged 220 yen. However, if the commuter pass is used on or after July 12, 2021 (excluding the use of charge only outside the regular section or the use of electronic money), the final use date will be regarded as the refund request date.


(2) Commuter passes effective on or after July 12, 2021

 If it is unused, the day before the validity start date of the commuter pass, and if used (excluding the use of charges only outside the commuter section or the use of electronic money), the date on which the commuter pass was last used Will be treated as a refund application date. As with the regular refund, you will be charged 220 yen.


 ※If the refund application date is within 7 days from the validity start date, or the number of days from the date of the refund request to the end of the validity period remains at least one month.

 ※All purchased from July 12 to September 30, 2021, when a state of emergency was declared.
  Limited to commuter passes that include a portion or part of its validity period
 ※Coupons and municipal bus-only commuter passes are not eligible.

■Subway-only commuter passes and subway bus communication commuter pass are eligible only in the following cases.

① Because the route is not sold as a 3-line commuter pass, it is unavoidable that "subway-only commuter pass + stations in Tokyo as routes.
 If you have two "commuter pass between each other"
② If you have two tickets, "Subway Bus Commuter Pass + Commuter Pass that includes stations in Tokyo as routes".
 In cases 1 and 2 above, please receive a refund for a commuter pass on another company line first, receive a "Refund Certificate" and then refund the commuter pass issued by City of Yokohama, Transportation Bureau.

3 Calculation method of refund amount (excluding subway bus commuter pass)

Commuter passes within 7 days from the effective start date

  Refund amount = Purchase price-one-way ordinary passenger fare x 2 x number of days of use-fees 220 yen

For commuter passes that have passed 8 days or more from the validity start date and has at least one month remaining until the end of the validity period.

  Refund amount = Purchase amount-Regular passenger fare for the number of months used - Fee 220 yen
  ※Of the number of months used, the number of days less than one month will be rounded up to one month.
  ※One-month commuter passes cannot be refunded if used for more than 8 days.

4 Refund Handling Period

Until September 30, 2022 (1 year from the day after the cancellation of the state of emergency)

5 Refund Handling Locations

 Municipal Subway Stations and Customer Service Center (Centerminami, Shin-Yokohama, Yokohama, Kamiooka)

6 Others

 (1) Please bring your commuter pass, identification documents (driver's license, passport, student ID card, etc.) and private seal (signature).
 (2) There is no need to submit a special certificate from your employer.
