The Green Line goes from 4 to 6!

The Yokohama Municipal Subway Green Line has started operation (6 cars) with a 6-car train, which adds two cars to the previous 4-car train, as a measure to improve convenience along the railway line and alleviate congestion in the future. ※By the end of 2024, 10 out of 17 trains will be converted to 6 cars.
Information to customers
Operating hours
Trains with 6 marks on the station timetable operate in a 6-car train.
Trains with a 6 mark display on the timetable of each station operate in a 6-car train.
Identification of trains
The 6-car train has stickers on the front and side indicating that it is 6-car train.
The arrival of the train
At the station platform, you will be notified of the arrival of a 6-car train by information display and broadcast.
Ride position
The boarding position of each train is displayed on the platform door.
Expansion of priority spaces for wheelchairs and strollers
The priority space for wheelchairs and strollers, which has been installed in one place per car (four places in a four-car train), will be expanded to two places per car for two vehicles to be increased. (8 places in total for 6-car trains)
