2021 Yokohama City Youth Independence Support Lecture (Video)

For individuals and families who are worried about withdrawal status, etc.

We carry out youth independence support lecture from 2017 for the purpose that young people with difficulties such as withdrawal and their families lead to the use of consultation organizations.
In fiscal 2021, we created a video with a theme for individuals and their families who are worried about withdrawal status.

Overview

This is a lecture to deepen the understanding of hikikomori, such as what kind of state hikikomori is, the process of recovery, and the desirable response that family members take to the hikikomori.
In addition, we will introduce facilities and consultation examples of each youth independence support organization.
The examples introduced in this video are fictitious examples that combine multiple support cases, and are just examples.
In fact, we provide support tailored to each individual.
Please consult with the withdrawal first without worrying about yourself or your family alone.

Part 1 “Understanding and Revival of Hikikomori” (3, 63 minutes in total)

Based on his experience in family psychology education, he has been involved in supporting hikikomori families for many years.

Part 1. What is Hikikomori (17 minutes)

Withdrawal is something that can happen to anyone and is not special.

I will talk about what processes can be done to recover from withdrawal.

Introducing facilities that support the independence of young people in Yokohama City.
Each facility has its own characteristics.

Part 3 Introduction of Yokohama City Youth Consultation Center (22 minutes in total)

1． In-house introduction (10 minutes)

What kind of support does the Youth Consultation Center provide?
We introduce the flow of consultation, frequently asked questions, and the facilities.

２．Case Introduction (12 minutes)

Consultations have been started only with family members, and examples of support until the person visits are introduced.
The examples introduced in this video are fictitious examples that combine multiple support cases, and are just examples.
In fact, we provide support tailored to each individual.

Part 4 Introduction of Regional Youth Plaza (2, 15 minutes in total)

1． In-house introduction (6 minutes)

What kind of support do you provide at the Regional Youth Plaza?
This time, we introduce "Yokohama Northern Youth Plaza" among the four youth plazas in the city about how to start using it and the state of activities at "place of residence".

２．Case Introduction (9 minutes)

This section introduces cases where the person visits the office after starting consultation with the family alone and aims to participate in society through individual interviews and exchanges with others.
The examples introduced in this video are fictitious examples that combine multiple support cases, and are just examples.
In fact, we provide support tailored to each individual.

Part 5 Interview with users of Yokohama City Youth Consultation Center (16 minutes)

We had those who use the Youth Consultation Center talk about their feelings at the time of withdrawal and what they want to convey to those who are in trouble now. .
