Initiatives for youth independence support in Yokohama City

In Motoichi, we carry out continuous consultation, support depending on the situation of each person for young people who have difficulty such as withdrawal from 15 years old to 39 years old.
Even if you say hikikomori, there are various conditions, such as "I can't leave the room", "I can go out if you are a family member," or "I can go to a nearby convenience store at night."
Consultations are accepted not only by the person but also by parents and guardians.
It is difficult to solve the withdrawal status alone by yourself or your family.
Don't worry alone, first consult a youth independence support organization by phone.
Free consultation and confidentiality will be kept.

We provide general consultation on withdrawal in the community, support for social participation, and provision of a place to stay.
In addition, we perform consultation in ward office "special consultation for young people" (all wards, twice a month, reservation system) and "Youth support seminar, consultation such as hikikomori" (all wards, once a year) . • Target: Those who are working between the ages of 15 and 49 and are aiming for independence and their families

　For young people who have been in truancy and withdrawn for a long period of time, we have implemented programs related to improving self-affirmation and restoring physical strength, restoring rhythms of life and interacting with others.

This is a lecture to deepen the understanding of withdrawal, such as what kind of state withdrawal is, the process of recovery, and the desirable response of the family members to take on the withdrawn state.
