In Yokohama City, we believe that efforts to maintain and promote the health of employees, etc. are investment to increase the profitability of companies in the future, and we have certified business establishments that engage in “health management” in which employees think about employee health promotion from a management perspective and practice them strategically as Yokohama Health Management Certification Offices.

We evaluate the PDCA cycle status of health management initiatives in business establishments from the viewpoints of "understanding and involvement of managers", "promotion of health management", and "evaluation of initiatives", and certify them in the following three categories.

• Class A

Initiatives that embody the clear culture of the Declaration of Health Management, etc. and their intentions

• Class AA

Those that meet the requirements of Class A, develop a health management promotion system, grasp employee health issues, and implement initiatives in line with health issues.

• Class AAA

Those that meet the requirements of Class AA, evaluate the results of initiatives in line with health issues, and lead to the following initiatives

※If you do not meet the requirements of Class A, you will not be certified.

• You can use the Yokohama Health Management Certification Mark.
• We publicize on homepages of Yokohama-shi.
• Visits and consultations by public health nurses and dietitians are available to support step-up and continuation of health management initiatives.
  (In principle, Class A and AA, up to two times per business site)
• You can use the rental of health measuring equipment such as body composition meters.
• You can receive preferential interest rates and guarantee fees from the Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Loan Program "SDGs Yokohama Fund". (with certain conditions) (Class AA and AAA are eligible)
• It is given preferential treatment in some Yokohama city public procurement.
• You can receive assistance for smoking cessation challenges using ICT. (It will end as soon as the budget limit is reached.)

On January 31, 2025, the Konan Ward Health & Productivity Management Seminar was held at the Konan Ward Office.
At the seminar, a panel discussion was held with Yuko Kai, Deputy Director of Physical Fitness Medical Research Institute of Meiji Yasuda Health and Welfare Corporation as a moderator. Panelists were invited from four offices located in Konan Ward.
In the group discussion, lively exchange of opinions was held, including issues at business sites and ideas for initiatives.
