About Yokohama Health Management Certification

We are implementing the "Yokohama Health Management Certification" system with the aim of becoming a place where both people and companies shine.

Yokohama City considers efforts to maintain and promote the health of employees and others as investment to increase the profitability of companies in the future, and considers employee health promotion from a management perspective and strategically implement business establishments that engage in "health management" are certified as Yokohama Health Management Certification Offices.

（１） Being a city office (business with headquarters / head office, branch office, branch office, sales office, etc. in the city) (including NPO corporations, public interest corporations, etc.)
（２） Do not be behind with corporate municipal tax and establishment tax
（３） In violation of laws and regulations related to employee health management, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Law and other laws and regulations related to employee health management, and have not been disposed of.
（４） Do not belong to antisocial forces such as gangs and have no relationship with these.
（５） There must be at least one employee in addition to the representative
※Since fiscal 2019, it has become possible to acquire multiple products with "Health & Productivity Stock Selection" certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Based on application contents, we examine in Yokohama health management certification committee composed of outside committee members and the mayor certifies.
At the time of the examination, we may make inquiries about the details of our efforts.
In that case, we may contact and refer to a contractor commissioned by Yokohama City.

We evaluate the PDCA cycle status of health management initiatives in business sites from the viewpoint of "understanding and involvement of management", "promotion of health management", and "evaluation of initiatives", and certify them in the following three categories.

Class A　：Initiatives that embody the clear culture, such as the Health Management Declaration, and its will　　　
Class AA　：Meet the requirements of Class A, further develop a health management promotion system, grasp employee health issues, and initiatives that meet health issues
　　　　　Those who are doing business
Class AAA ：Those that meet the requirements of Class AA, further evaluate the results of initiatives in line with health issues, and lead to the following initiatives

※If you do not meet the requirements of Class A requirements, you will not be certified.

Based on the certification standards, the certification committee composed of external committee members will comprehensively evaluate the contents of the application form based on the certification standards, and the certification committee composed of external committee members comprehensively evaluates the circulation status of the PDCA cycle.
Certification Criteria (PDF: 148KB)

・You can use the Yokohama Health and Productivity Management Certification Mark.
・We will publicize on the website of Yokohama City.
・Visits and consultations by public health nurses and dietitians can be used to support step-up and continuation of health management initiatives.
(In principle, classes A and AA, up to two times per business site)
・You can use rental of health measurement equipment such as body composition meter.
・You can receive preferential interest rates and guarantee fees by the Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Loan Program "SDGs Yokohama Fund". (Certain conditions apply) (Applicable to Class AA and AAA)
・Preferential treatment in some Yokohama City public procurement.
・【！ NEW！】 You can receive assistance for smoking cessation challenges using ICT. (End as soon as the budget limit is reached.)
※The above benefits are subject to change.

• Establishments for the first time: 2 years from April 1 of the year following the application
• Establishments that have been submitted for the second or subsequent applications (renewal after the expiration of the certification period, re-application for class up, etc.): 4 years from April 1 of the year following the application

※The certification period for Yokohama Health and Productivity Management Certification is, in principle, based on the application that you have filled out when applying.
※In the year when the certification period expires, it is possible to continue the certification by applying again and undergoing a review.
※It is also possible to apply again with the aim of class up the certification category during the certification period.
