About Yokohama Health Management Certification

We have implemented the “Yokohama Health Management Certification” system with the aim of making Yokohama a brighter place for both people and companies.

In Yokohama City, we believe that efforts to maintain and promote the health of employees, etc. are investment to increase the profitability of companies in the future, and we have certified business establishments that engage in “health management” in which employees think about employee health promotion from a management perspective and practice them strategically as Yokohama Health Management Certification Offices.
※"Health Management" is a registered trademark of the Non-Profit Organization Health Management Study Group.

（１） Being a city office (business office with a head office, head office, branch office, branch office, business office, etc. in the city) (including NPOs, public interest corporations, etc.)
（２） Do not be behind with corporate municipal tax and establishment tax
（３） In the past five years, they have not been disposed of in violation of laws and regulations related to employee health management, such as the Industrial Safety and Health Law, due to serious incidents.
（４） Do not belong to anti-social forces, such as gangs, and do not have any relationship with them.
（５） There must be at least one employee besides the representative
※From fiscal 2019, it has become possible to obtain duplicates with “Health & Productivity Stocks” certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

We evaluate the PDCA cycle status of health management initiatives in business establishments from the viewpoints of "understanding and involvement of managers", "promotion of health management", and "evaluation of initiatives", and certify them in the following three categories.

※If you do not meet the requirements of Class A, you will not be certified.

• Establishments for the first time: 2 years from April 1 of the year following the application
• Business establishments that have applied for the second or subsequent times (renewal at the expiration of the certification period, re-application for class improvement, etc.): 4 years from April 1 of the year following the application

※The certification period when certified as Yokohama Health Management Certification is, in principle, the application base entered at the time of application.
※In the year when the certification period expires, it is possible to continue the certification by applying again and undergoing a review.
※It is also possible to apply again with the aim of improving the certification category during the certification period.

Based on application contents, we examine in Yokohama health management certification committee composed of outside committee members and the mayor certifies.
In the examination, we may make inquiries about the details of our efforts.
In that case, we may contact and refer from a contractor entrusted by Yokohama City.

Based on the certification standards, the contents of the application form will be comprehensively evaluated by the Certification Committee, which is composed of external members, based on the cycle status of the PDCA cycle.

・You can use the Yokohama Health Management Certification Mark.
・We publicize on homepages of Yokohama-shi.
・Visits and consultations by public health nurses and dietitians are available to support step-up and continuation of health management initiatives.
　(In principle, Class A and AA, up to two times per business site)
・You can use the rental of health measuring equipment such as body composition meters.
・You can receive preferential interest rates and guarantee fees from the Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Loan Program "SDGs Yokohama Fund". (with certain conditions) (Class AA and AAA are eligible)
・It is given preferential treatment in some Yokohama city public procurement.
・You can receive assistance for smoking cessation challenges using ICT. (It will end as soon as the budget limit is reached.)
