Example of causative food
Foods eaten without heating, such as dairy products, processed meat products, processed seafood products, processed vegetable products, etc.
Features
It is widely distributed in the environment such as soil, rivers, sewage, and feed, and is separated from various animals such as livestock, wildlife, and fish. It can grow at low temperatures below 4°C or at a salt concentration of 12%.
Symptoms
People with low immune function, such as pregnant women, baby/infant, and the elderly, are more susceptible to seriousness and can develop meningitis and sepsis two to six weeks after eating. Pregnant women may result in miscarriage, premature birth, or stillbirth.
Even if it does not become severe, after 9 to 48 hours of eating, flu-like symptoms such as fever and muscle pain, and gastroenteritis symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea may develop.
Preventive measures
・Let's eat meat after heating it enough.
・Wash vegetables and fruits that you eat raw well.
・Let's eat refrigerated food within the deadline.
