1 We want to tell opinion, request, suggestion to Yokohama-shi, what should I do?
A

1 In Yokohama-shi, we carry out business such as "proposal from citizen" "mayor petition" to listen to "voice" of citizen's everybody. Please use it.

2: You can't go when the government office is open to share your opinions, requests, and suggestions. Can't you convey my voice?

2 In "Suggestions from Citizens", we accept submission forms and e-mails on the homepage 24 hours a day. We also accept submissions by fax 24 hours a day.

3 What is the difference between "proposals from citizens" and "mayor petition"?
A

3 "Suggestions from citizens" is business to have you give opinion or request for municipal administration casually from individual. Opinions and requests are accepted by mail, fax, Internet, or e-mail. Please send your frank "voice" to the ward office in your ward.

"Mayor petition" is opinion or request submitted in writing to the mayor from group where representative name is clearly stated. Answers are sent in writing in the name of the mayor.

In addition, "mayor petition" is targeted for disclosure request as administrative document. Therefore, the name of the organization and the name of the representative will be disclosed in principle. However, personal information described in the text of the document or other signature list will not be disclosed.

4 How does the "voice" of citizens reach?
A

4 The "voice" of everyone who received it confirms the department in charge of the Ward Administration Promotion Division of the ward office and the Public Affairs Consultation Section of the Citizens' Bureau, and conveys the contents of the "voice". In the department in charge, we respond responsibly to the "voices" received, accumulate them cumulatively, and use them as valuable data for city projects and measures.

About "voice" about thing which Yokohama-shi does not have jurisdiction over, we cannot answer in Yokohama-shi, so we tell other organizations after considering personal information protection.

In addition, please understand that while responding to the "voice" from everyone, the department in charge may contact you to confirm detailed facts.

5 Do the mayor really sees "proposals from citizens" and "mayor petition"?
A

5 "Proposals from citizens" and "Mayor petition" are all made into a database, and the mayor can always read from a personal computer. In addition, the department in charge responds responsibly to individual opinions and requests received.

6 In "Proposals from Citizens", do you only accept "Proposals"?

6 We accept not only "proposals", but also opinions, requests, complaints, etc.

7 Opinions and requests from everyone are accumulated in the database and utilized as valuable data for city business and measure examination. When investigating and analyzing data, the more you know the age group and occupation, the more accurate analysis is possible. If you don't mind, please let me know.

8 Do you not listen to citizen's "voice" in departments other than ward office Ward Administration Promotion Division or citizen's bureau public hearing consultation section?

8 The ward office Ward Administration Promotion Division and the Public Affairs Consultation Section of the Citizens' Bureau are not the departments that listen to your voice. We listen to opinion and request for municipal administration in any department of city hall.

In Yokohama City, each staff member strives to have a "public hearing mind" in which they listen humbly to everyone's "voice".
