    * The above-mentioned healthy life expectancy of Yokohama City was announced in July 2014, but before the announcement, Yokohama City obtained data from the National Life Basic Survey (2010) from the country and used Chan's life table method to calculate it independently in December 2012, and this figure is used for Healthy Yokohama 21 etc.
・ Average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy in Yokohama City (Published in H25.8.13) (Excerpted from "Healthy Yokohama 21")
The healthy life expectancy calculated by Yokohama City is different from the one published by the research group in July 2014, but the population used as a standard is slightly different from the one used by the research group. It is thought that this is the cause.
However, the research group said, "It is not determined which method is correct for detailed methods such as which basic numerical values are used when calculating healthy life expectancy. If you specify which basic figures and how they were calculated, even if they were different from those calculated by the research group, they can be said to be the correct figures. "
In Yokohama City, it is a citizen's health promotion plan.Health Yokohama 21"I started on April 1, 2013!
The basic philosophy is to "increase the number of citizens who can live independently as much as possible no matter how old they are," and the basic goal is to "extend healthy life expectancy."
Healthy life expectancy shows how healthy a 0-year-old baby is in the future.
  • Average independence period of distinction
・ Average independence period (PDF: 80KB) for distinction in 2011 (23)(Published in H25.10.29)
<Women> The longest ward was Sakae Ward in 84.75. The shortest ward was Minami Ward in 80.41.
<Men> The longest ward was Tsuzuki Ward   in 81.41. The shortest ward was Naka Ward in 74.53.
As with the national plan, the healthy life expectancy of Yokohama City as a whole uses a “period without restrictions on daily life” that utilizes the results of the Basic Survey on National Life, but the calculation of healthy life expectancy for each administrative district has a small number of surveys It is difficult.
For this reason, the "average independence period", which is a similar index and can be calculated for each administrative district, was calculated as reference values.
The average independence period is the "average period during which no care is required in daily life", and it shows how many years you can live independently, and is one of the concepts of healthy life expectancy.
In Yokohama City, the average independence period is calculated as "needs nursing care 2-5" in the Nursing Care Insurance Law, which was revised in April 2018, as the condition requiring nursing care.
It has been reported that the average independence period is not strictly interpreted as an absolute value because The Long-term Care Insurance's application status and the method of determining the degree of need for nursing care have a strong effect on the calculation results. It is reported that it is more realistic to look at the annual changes in the target group.
