In Yokohama City, the ordinance was revised in September 2003 to publicly privatize port hospitals after redevelopment.

Yokohama City Council, on February 25, 2004, decided to designate designated managers of Yokohama City Port Hospital and designated managers.

In the future, the Japanese Red Cross Society will take the lead in preparing for the opening of the hospital, but the city will also be able to continue to receive medical care with peace of mind so that patients currently using port hospitals can continue to receive medical care with peace of mind. We will strive to ensure sufficient cooperation with the Red Cross Society.

In addition, regarding the closing of the Yokohama Red Cross Hospital, we will provide necessary cooperation as Yokohama City so that it can be performed smoothly.

Overview of the New Port Hospital

Location:	3-12-1, Shinyamashita, Naka-ku (opposite the current port hospital)
Number of beds	634 beds (general 584 beds, mental 50 beds)
Medical consultation fee	23 courses (planned) * The name of Medical consultation fee may change before the hospital opens.
	Internal medicine, respiratory, gastroenterology, cardiovascular, neurology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, respiratory Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Dermatology, Urology, Obstetrics and gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, Radiology, anesthesiology, dental and oral surgery, Allergology
Major policy medical care to be implemented
	Emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year , rotating emergency medical care, pediatric emergency medical care, secondary emergency medical care for mothers and children, Psychiatry emergency medical care , allergic disease medical care, etc. ＊The mark is scheduled to be implemented sequentially in the second and third years after the opening of the hospital.
Open hospital	April 1, 2005 (planned) * Psychiatry plans to start medical treatment in fiscal 2007.

Overview of the Japanese Red Cross Society

Location:	1-1-3, Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo

Activities	Established under the Japanese Red Cross Society Act, it is engaged in disaster relief activities in the International rescue and Japan, training dissemination projects, youth Red Cross activities, operation of 91 Red Cross Hospitals nationwide, blood business, and social welfare facilities.
	The Japanese Red Cross Society Act Article 1 The purpose of the Japanese Red Cross Society is to achieve the ideal humanitarian mission of the Red Cross in accordance with the spirit of the principles passed at the Conventions on the Red Cross and the International Conference of the Red Cross.
