Elimination of Disability Discrimination

As part of the development of domestic laws to conclude the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a society in which all citizens live together while respecting their personalities and personalities without being separated by the presence or absence of disabilities. In June 2013, the "Act on the Promotion of Elimination of Discrimination Due to Disabilities" (so-called "Disability Discrimination Elimination Law") was enacted. Subsequently, the Act was amended and promulgated in June 2021, and will come into effect on April 1, 2024. After the enforcement of the revised law, it is mandatory to provide reasonable accommodation by the business operator.

In Yokohama-shi, we push forward the next approach as correspondence to disability discrimination cancellation law.
