It is a legal obligation to provide reasonable accommodation by private companies.
~ It starts from where we talk to each other~
Last Updated March 7, 2024
The Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, which was revised and promulgated in June 2021, came into effect on April 1, 2024, and the provision of reasonable accommodation by business operators is a legal obligation (a legal obligation under the current law).
[What is the provision of reasonable accommodation?]
Consideration should be given as much as possible so that stores, facilities and services can be used in the same way as people without disabilities.
In order to provide reasonable accommodation, it is important to stay close to the other person and to understand what you are having trouble with.
Talk close to the needs of people with disabilities, explain why if it is difficult to respond, explain why and consider alternatives together.
