CNP Japan-U.S. Workshop “Carbon Neutral Ports (CNP) Online Workshop between U.S. and Japan”
Yokohama Port is working with national and private companies to form a carbon-neutral port (CNP) with the aim of realizing a decarbonized society by 2050. In addition, Japan and the United States expressed their cooperation in the formation of the CNP in a joint statement last April, Japan and the United States announced that they would cooperate in forming the CNP.
Yokohama also participated in this workshop, entitled "The Port of Yokohama's Carbon Neutral Port Initiatives" (Initiatives on CNP formation at Yokohama Port), and presented initiatives in harbor areas, such as LNG bunkering and onshore power to ships, and introduction of next-generation energy such as hydrogen.
