International Exchange Signed an MOU with the Port of Los Angeles to decarbonize ports <FY2022>

Yokohama Port and the Port of Los Angeles have established a long-standing cooperative relationship since the signing of the Cooperation Trade Agreement (1969) and the Memorandum of Understanding (1991).
Based on the spirit of cooperation, cooperation and sharing best practices in sustainable operation of international ports, MOU signed a memorandum of understanding on March 13, 2023, with the aim of further deepening the relationship between the two ports through exchanges of opinions, etc., based on the spirit of cooperation, cooperation and sharing of optimal cases in sustainable operation of international ports.
The two ports are addressing common issues such as improving competitiveness in the global market, technological innovation in ports, the establishment of green shipping corridors, and digitalization. In particular, the shipping task force at the Japan-US Australia-India Summit (QUAD) is working to green and decarbonize the shipping value chain as a major port in both Japan and the United States.
