We set up offices (factories, stores, clinics) in the city and discharge industrial waste. Is notification necessary?

In the city, companies setting up establishments that discharge industrial waste are based on Article 40 of the "Rules on Reduction, Recycling and Proper Treatment of Yokohama City Waste, etc." It is necessary to submit "Industrial Waste Discharge Office registration form" (No. 44 style).
“Offices” subject to notification
This applies to all business sites that discharge industrial waste. It does not depend on the type and amount of industrial waste.
Notification destination and method
Please submit by electronic application, mail, or bring the window.
The notification is one copy, but if you need a copy, you can submit two copies and stamp the receipt and return one copy. In the case of mailing, put a stamp on the reply envelope with the address written and send two copies. At a later date, one copy with the receipt stamp will be returned.

It is available on the website of the City of Yokohama, Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Business Waste Management Section or at the counter.
