Mechanism of counting votes

Collect ballot boxes from each polling place at the counting place.

The counting manager checks the ballot box together with the counting witness.

The counting manager declares the start of counting and opens the ballot box at the pre-notified counting start time.

In counting votes, the number of votes is calculated for each candidate after mixing votes on the opening table.
Mixing votes is because it tries to secure the secret of voting.

The counting manager checks the validity and invalidity of all votes together with the counting witness, and the valid votes are further divided and counted for each candidate.

When all counting operations are completed, the counting manager will read the number of votes of each candidate and create a counting record.

(Note 1) Winners are determined in descending order of the number of votes based on the results of counting votes, but they cannot be elected unless they reach a certain number of votes (statutory votes: depending on the election)

(Note 2) The press reports on TV and radio on the day of the voting day are conducted independently by the media companies, and are not issued by the Election Commission.

The counting manager distinguishes the validity and invalidity of the inspected voting, seals it with the counting witness, and sends it to the Election Commission.
