Established as a summit meeting of six prefectures
1992
Mayor Chiba joins the summit meeting of the seven prefectures.
2003
The Mayor of Saitama joins the eight prefectures.

The Mayor of Sagamihara joins, and it will become the nine-city summit meeting.
Organization
Under the Summit Meeting, a committee consisting of the heads of departments in charge will be established, and a secretary-general meeting and subcommittees consisting of section managers and practitioners will be set up to conduct specific investigations, discussions, and discussions on the operation of the summit and wide-area issues.
In addition, items that have been discussed at the summit meeting and decided to concentrate on discussions are being considered by the Tokyo Metropolitan Area Union Council.
