What is "one school, one country with Africa"?

State of exchange

Elementary and junior high schools in the city have set one country in Africa as an exchange country, and carry out "one school, one country with Africa" with the aim of deepening understanding of African countries.

Exchange school: 66 schools, including elementary and junior high schools in the city
(57 elementary schools, 8 junior high schools and 1 compulsory education school)
Exchange countries: 33 of the African countries with embassies in Tokyo

  • School visits by ambassadors and others
  • Visit to embassy by elementary and junior high schools
  • Provision of public relations materials, photographs, cooking recipes, etc.
