With the enforcement of the revised Disaster Relief Act (April 1, 2019), Yokohama City has been designated by the Prime Minister today (April 1) by the Prime Minister.
A notification ceremony was held at the Cabinet Office, and The Mayor of Yokohama Fumiko Hayashi, Chairman of the Designated City Mayors' Association, received a designated notice from the Minister for Special Affairs Junzo Yamamoto (Disaster Prevention) of the Cabinet Office.
