Yokohama City Council Committee on Policy / General Affairs / Finance will solicit public opinion for a partial revision of the ordinance on promotion of self support and community support in the event of a disaster!

　This is the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and in recent years natural disasters have become intensified due to the effects of climate change, and damage has occurred frequently in various places. In order to respond to such natural disasters, there is a growing need for citizens and businesses to make preparations on a daily basis to protect their lives in the event of a large-scale disaster and to help each other.
　In order to keep the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake without weathering and in line with the changing times, we thought that citizens and businesses should further promote the efforts of self support and community support's efforts.
　Therefore, Yokohama City Council Committee on Policy / General Affairs / Finance is considering revising a part of the "Ordinance on Promoting self support and community support in the Event of a Disaster in Yokohama City" enacted in 2013.
