The Yokohama City Council presented donation for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine.

In response to Russia's military invasion, the Yokohama City Council donated donation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The donation will be used for humanitarian assistance activities carried out by UNHCR in Ukraine and neighboring countries through UNHCR as the official contact point for UNHCR in Japan.
Chairman Tomio Shimizu and Vice-Chair Masaharu Takahashi visited the United Nations Association of UNHCR and handed a list of donation to Mr. NakenYokohama City Council, Chief Vice President of UNHCR to Japan.
Mr. Shimizu expressed his condolences to the numerous victims, including children and civilians, and expressed great concern about the situation that has deteriorated significantly, and that the Yokohama City Council would provide solid support.
