In collaboration with related companies, City of Yokohama, Transportation Bureau will commence verification testing of fare collection using Visa touch payment on some municipal bus routes.
In this demonstration experiment, equipment that can use Visa touch payment will be installed in the car, and bus fares are collected using a card that supports the touch payment that the customer has.
Visa's touch payment is the first attempt for a route bus that runs in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
