"World Patient Safety Day" We will raise awareness of "patient participation in medical care" through the light-up of the Yokohama City Hall and the efforts of two Yokohama City University Hospitals.

September 17 is "World Patient Safety Day" established by the World Health Organization (WHO). "World Patient Safety Day" was enacted to reduce the risk of all people who use the healthcare system with the aim of "working activities for global collaboration and action by WHO member countries to promote patient safety."
In Yokohama-shi, we carry out light-up of Yokohama-shi Government building as part of spread enlightenment activity for citizen, medical institution to promote patient safety. In addition, in Yokohama City University Hospital and Yokohama City University Medical Center, we will carry out initiatives such as posting posters in the hospital and distributing leaflets to patients, novelties and questionnaires to patients through mutual cooperation between hospital staff and student volunteers.
