As part of our business plans, “Unfinished Efforts,” IKEA strives to fulfill its responsibility to the environment.
In addition to various energy-saving measures to date, IKEA Kohoku has adopted solar panels that can simultaneously introduce renewable energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the same time.

□Photovoltaic power generation facilities
399 solar panels have been installed to ensure approximately 123.69W output.
A "photovoltaic power generation system monitor" has been installed so that real-time "power generation", "power generation", "reduction amount", etc. can be checked in real time.

◇Effect of introduction of renewable energy
The estimated annual power generation is 133,866kwh/year, and the annual emission reduction is expected to be 73t-CO2.
◇Other energy-saving measures
Inverter controls the pump of heat source equipment and the motors of air conditioning equipment to save energy by operating methods according to the season and outside air.
In addition, all lighting in the facility and outdoor premises will be converted to LEDs, and detailed schedule management of the lighting time and control with some motion sensors to save energy.
