JA Group Kanagawa Building
Energy-saving buildings that ensures integrated operation of JA Group Kanagawa
◇Project Overview
JA Group Kanagawa Building is a base building of the JA Group Kanagawa, where related organizations of the prefecture JA Group stays in and demonstrate cooperation between groups.
Utilizing terracotta (pottery) placed in the image of the wavy sea of Yokohama on a part of the outer wall, it is a characteristic that preserves and restores the former Kanagawa Prefectural Industrial Association Building, which has been certified as a historical building in Yokohama City. It has a unique exterior design.
The basic concept of the building is to ensure business continuity, 2. creation of functional offices, and 3. Consideration for the environment. We are working on installing solar panels on the roof and adopting various energy-saving measures.

◇Renewable energy systems adopted
□Photovoltaic power generation facilities
In response to BCP (Business Continuity Plan), JA Group Kanagawa Building plans to install equipment and other equipment on the roof due to the expected height of tsunami due to location conditions. Therefore, by installing solar panels on the blindfold wall of equipment installed on the roof, we are working to make effective use of limited space and to consider the environment.
A total of 148 100W solar panels have been installed to ensure an output of approximately 14.8 kilowatts. During normal times, the building is used throughout the building, but in the event of a power outage, it is supplied to the evacuation sites in the building.
A "sunlight display monitor" will be installed next to the reception on the first floor, so that you can check "power generation", "power generated", "CO2 reduction" etc. in real time.

◇Effect of introduction of renewable energy
The estimated annual power generation is 9,940 kWh/year, and the annual CO2 emission reduction is expected to be 3,837 (kg-CO2).
◇Other energy-saving measures
We have introduced a building energy management system called "BEMS" (Building Energy Management System), which aims to grasp and reduce energy consumption through comprehensive management of building equipment and equipment.
In addition, we will adopt LED lighting control of lighting by human motion sensors such as LED lighting and toilets, and daylight control of window lighting, etc., to save energy.
