In order to establish a renewal business for existing fire prevention water tanks, we conducted a “Sounding-type market survey” to widely listen to ideas and know-how from private businesses.

In this dialogue, six companies participated, and we were able to conduct the dialogue.
Each company provided suggestions on construction methods and construction period from a professional point of view, repair and repair methods inside the fire prevention water tank, and new repair methods.
The issues faced by the authorities are not only the problem of only one fire tank installed in a specific place, but also a method to respond to the future redevelopment of fire tanks with different installation conditions. The methods and proposals were all helpful.
In the future, we will promote the fire prevention water tank maintenance business by referring to the proposed construction methods for specific locations.

In Yokohama City, for the purpose of securing water use for large-scale disasters such as earthquakes, it will be time to renew (remaintain) existing public fire prevention water tanks that have been installed for more than 50 years. As for the setting situation of fire prevention water tank of Motoichi, it is difficult to secure construction area to redevelop (removal and install newly in the same place), and expense becomes large.
Therefore, we conducted a “Sounding-type market survey” to widely listen to ideas and know-how from private businesses regarding new redevelopment methods that utilize all or part of the skeleton. We would like to use it as a reference for establishing the method, so please join us.
