About Yokohama-shi fire alarm

What is Yokohama City Fire alarm?

Based on Article 22 of the Fire Services Act, the "fire alarm" is issued by the mayor when weather conditions are dangerous for fire prevention.
If the air is dry or strong winds are blowing, the risk of fire or spread of fire increases.
During warning issuance, please cooperate with restriction of use of fire to establish in Yokohama-shi fire prevention regulations.

What are the conditions for issuing a fire alarm?

An alarm will be issued if any of the following criteria are met:
 ①When a dry warning, strong wind warning or storm warning is announced in Yokohama City, and the mayor recognizes that there is a significant risk of fire occurrence and spread of fire.
 ②When the mayor recognizes that the weather situation is dangerous for fire prevention other than the above.

What is the difference?

According to Article 35 of the Yokohama City Fire Prevention Ordinance, when a fire alarm is issued, the following acts are restricted.
Violations will result in punishment under the Fire Services Act.
(Article 44, Item 13 of the Fire Services Act: Anyone who violates the law will be fined or detained up to 300,000 yen.)
 ①Do not burn fire in forests, wilderness, etc.
 ②Do not smoke (fireworks)
 ③Do not play with fire or bonfire outdoors
 ④Do not smoke outdoors near flammable objects
 ⑤Do not smoke outdoors in forests, wilderness, etc.
 ⑥After flames (including cigarette butts) To dispose of ash or powder
 ⑦When using open flames indoors, close windows, entrances, etc.
