Outline
Yagurazawa departure, which passes north of Kanagawa Prefecture, was the back road of the Tokaido and was the central road for visiting Oyama, so it was also called the Oyama Kaido. Eda, along with Nagatsuta, has been designated as an inn station since the early Edo period. A nightlight is left to tell the story of the prosperity of the inn at that time. This light is 230 centimeters tall, and is engraved with "Mount Akiha" on the Nakadai of the lantern and "nightlight" on the pole. This light, made in 1861, was built in the guide inn of Akiba-ko, and was built, including the caretakers of Eda-juku, Kanagawa-juku, Ichigao-mura, and Suwa Kawara-mura in Kawasaki. We are donating volunteers.
