In fiscal 2010, Aoba Ward established the Aobadai Station Bus Countermeasures Committee with the participation of local officials and others to alleviate traffic congestion. Compared to the survey in June 1998 before the departure area was established, the survey in September 2000 showed that traffic congestion on the north side of the station was almost eliminated from 237m to 11m on average during the time of Taira Japan and North Korea. Traffic congestion has decreased by about 10% from 267m to 239m on average.
