In March 2016, the area around Ichigao Station barrier-free basic design was formulated. Guidance signs in the district have issues such as lack of character height, peeling of characters, and damage to signatures. In principle, improvement will be implemented with the goal of FY2020.
Therefore, we have redeveloped the guide signs around Ichigao Station and created a redevelopment plan that defines the basic policy of guide sign maintenance, guidance routes, board surface designs, etc. so that users can be guided to the target facilities more smoothly. .

In Yokohama-shi, we clarify duty of city, company, citizen and establish basic matter of measure about town development of welfare and promote comprehensively and systematically and aim at contributing to realization of rich human welfare We establish "town development regulations of Yokohama-shi welfare" (the April, 1997 enforcement, December, 2012 revision).
Based on these regulations, citizen, company and Yokohama-shi work together and perform various approaches aiming at promotion of town development of welfare.
In December 2006, the Aoba Ward established the Ichigao Station Area, which is often used by residents of the city, such as the Aoba Ward Office, Aoba police department, public hall, Sports Center and Community Care Plaza.
In the future, each company will formulate a business plan based on the basic barrier-free concept, and will carry out the business with the goal of 2020 in principle.

In the district where facilities often used by citizens gathered, promote the priority and integrated barrier-free of the district through barrier-free projects for implementation obligations for stations, roads, parks, buildings, traffic lights, etc. It is a concept.
