Authorization refers to the use of facilities (nursery schools, kindergartens, certified children's schools, community-based childcare businesses, etc.) that are subject to the new system for supporting children and child care, and other facilities (kindergartens that are not covered by the new system, authorization This is a procedure required when trying to receive free benefits at non-childcare facilities, etc.). In order to provide childcare and educational services required depending on the situation at home, determine whether or not there is a "reason for needing childcare" and "the required amount of childcare (= time when childcare is available)" Is what you do.

Certification category
There are four categories of certification, and the required certification categories are determined according to the facilities (kindergarten, nursery schools, certified children's schools, etc.) used.

On the day before your 3rd birthday, there is no special procedure and automatically switches from No. 3 certification to No. 2 certification.
※The Yokohama Nursery Room is certified under Article 19 of the Act until the 2-year-old class, and the 3-year-old class is certified under Article 30-4 of the Act.

Reason for needing childcare and the required amount of childcare
If you wish to apply for childcare certification (Article 19, No. 2 / 3 of the Act, Article 30-42 / No. 3 of the Act), you need to fall under any of the "reasons requiring childcare" there is.
In addition, in recognition of the need for childcare, we perform for main reasons.
In addition, according to the required amount of childcare, it is divided into "standard daycare hours (11 hours a day)" and "short childcare hours (8 hours a day)" are classified.
The required amount of childcare will be determined in consideration of multiple reasons, so if you fall under multiple reasons, please consult with the ward office (documents proving each of the multiple reasons are required).
Extended childcare is required for use beyond the required childcare hours.
