Home Elderly Abuse Prevention Business

Last update date December 13, 2023

Abuse of the elderly at home is a problem that is difficult to appear, as it is difficult for the abused person to consult with others. Only when a serious situation occurs, people around you may notice. In addition, while the caregiver is taking care of it, it may be inappropriate without knowing it. If you notice abuse of the elderly, or if you are in trouble as a party, please do not worry alone. Health and Welfare Center social workers and public health nurses are available for consultation.

<Don't bear the burden of nursing care>

It is said that people spend more time with the elderly tend to be abused. Don't have the burden of nursing care alone.

  1. Talk with other family members and relatives: If other family members or relatives do not know the difficulties of nursing care, they can be very stressed. Talk to family doctor and care managers to share the burden of care with other family members and relatives so that they have a common understanding of their condition and the need for nursing care.
  2. Good use of The Long-term Care Insurance services: Even if you are a family member, always face-to-face, stress accumulates. Take advantage of The Long-term Care Insurance services such as day service (elderly day care) and Short Stay.
  3. To interact with each other: Let's exchange information between caregivers about the difficulties that can be understood only by actually experiencing it, such as nursing care for dementia. You can refresh yourself and reduce your worries.
