About election

To vote in an election, you must be registered in the municipality's electoral list. The electoral list is registered four times a year in March, June, September, and December, and temporarily when there is an election.
To be registered in the electoral list

  • We have Address in the area of the municipality where we live.
  • 18 years of age or older
  • It must be recorded in the Basic Resident Register of the municipality for at least three months from the day the resident certificate was created (for transfers, the date of notification of transfer).

If the above requirements are met, no special procedure is required to register in the electoral list.


About publication of electoral list reading situation

Article 28-4, Paragraph 7 of the Public Office Election Law (including cases where it is applied mutatis mutandis in Article 30-12) and Article 3-4 of the Public Office Election Law Enforcement Regulations (when applied mutatis mutandis in Article 2-2 of the Overseas Election Execution Regulations) Based on the above, the Election Commission will publish at least once a year the status of browsing the electoral list abstracts and the overseas electoral list excerpt.
