Nice communication! (Communication ceremony for Nishi Ward Consumer Affairs Committee and Children's Committee)

　On December 1, a letter of commission was sent from the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare and the The Mayor of Yokohama following the simultaneous re-election of the Consumer Affairs Committee, Children's Committee and Chief Children's Committee.
　The Consumer Affairs Committee System began with the “Jisei Advisor System”, which was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1917 (Daisho 6), and has consistently worked to support the poor in life. We have always played an important role in promoting local welfare, such as working on activities. The system has a history of celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017 (Heisei 29).
　In Nishi Ward, 119 people were commissioned, of which 25 were newly appointed.
　The local welfare officers and children's committees are close to the community, support those who need assistance as familiar counselors and watchers, and respond to consultations from residents about various living problems and concerns, We have an important role to have you become a "bridge" with related organizations such as ward offices.
　In addition, the Chief Children's Committee works with elementary and junior high schools and various organizations for community development to monitor children so that they can live with peace of mind and grow up healthy.
　We hope that the members of the Consumer Affairs Committee, Children's Committee and Chief Children's Committee will play an active role in making Nishi Ward a "town where everyone can live happily and happily."
