　The Deaflympics is a general competition for the hearing impaired and is held once every four years in summer and winter. Kumi Hayasaki won the silver medal this time in the mountain bike girl XCO event. He also won bronze medals at the 2013 and 2017 tournaments, and has won medals for the third consecutive year.
　Kentaro Hayase did not win medals, but participated in this Deaflympics and was also active as a staff member. In addition to hosting the Hayase Dojo, a study school for deaf children in Nishi Ward, he also plays an active role in the film "Emu" commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the All Japan Federation of Deaf.
　Kumi Hayasaki said, "This time, I've been practicing with the desire to get 3rd place or more. While there were many young players, I was worried about physical strength, but it was the third time, so I think it was the result of calming down mentality. " Before participating in the tournament as a player, he supported anti-doping as a staff member (pharmacists), and he has supported the team. I heard that mountain bike maintenance and car washing are also important for the race, and I felt again the importance of working together as a team.
