[Director General Column] I participated in a summer festival in Minami Ward. (September 6, 2023)

　On Saturday, August 19 and Sunday 20th, we visited summer festivals held in various places in Minami Ward. Many festivals have been held for the first time in four years since 2019, and I think that everyone has been looking forward to it.
　Without losing the heat, there were performances and Bon Odori, where everyone enjoyed singing and dancing happily and Bon Odori were held, and they were very lively. Many smiles could be seen, and the happy smiles of the children were particularly impressive.
　In addition, many people from various generations participated in every festival, and I realized that the bonds of the region, the restoration of bustle, and the connection that fosters the future, which are fading due to the long COVID-19 pandemic.
　It was the first summer festival in a few years, and I think that there were various difficulties for holding it. I would like to thank all of you who have contributed to the event.
　As a ward office, we will work on vibrant community development with everyone while valuing "empathy and trust" and "horizontal connection".
