[Director General Column] New Year's Greetings (January 1, 2024)

　Happy new year.
　At the beginning of the year, I would like to say hello to the New Year.
　Since my arrival in April last year, I have visited many events, such as round-table conferences and festivals in each district. Every district was greeted with a smile and felt the "warmth" of the area. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you.
　Last year was the 80th anniversary of Minami Ward's birth. Commemorative events such as planting cherry trees at Makita Park, health and welfare events such as “Ikiiki Fureai Minami-Nan Day” and “Minami Ward Cultural Festival”.
　On December 1, Minami Ward's birthday, we held a commemorative ceremony in Minami public hall, where we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the constituency with many residents.
　In Minami Ward, which is celebrating its 81st year, we will continue to work with local communities, including Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations.
　In addition to holding the Minami Cherry Blossom Festival, which is a symbol of Minami Ward, creating local bustle by disseminating the charm of Minami Ward, such as cherry blossoms and shopping streets, holding baby classes and issuing children's whereabouts, holding baby classes and issuing children's whereabouts, we will promote initiatives to protect safety and security, such as anti-crime program, preventive care and support for people with disabilities.
　This year, we will continue to do our best to aim for Minami Ward, where we can feel the connection and warmth and want to continue living.
