"When the sun tilts," Mr. Naomitsu Tanaka

Hideo Mori Grand Prize

Photographer comment

Soon the sunset.
The sun gently illuminates the cherry blossoms.

Shooting location

A row of cherry blossom trees on the Tsurumi River

Comments

Mr. Hideo Mori

The pale color of the cherry blossoms and the color of the sunset that is not too strong blend in well. It is a work that gently hears the babbling of the Tsurumi River that reflects the setting sun. The photographer can feel the sign that he is entrusting himself at this moment while bathing in the sunlight with the cherry blossoms. (Photographer Hideo Mori)

Supplementary prize

Certificate of merit, book card worth 5,000 yen, souvenir

Mori Hideo Excellence Award 2 points

"Blessing of Morning," Kazuo Obata

Hideo Mori Excellence Award

Photographer comment

The farm road taking a walk every day was refreshing and the morning dew was falling today.
When I noticed it, I felt that the leaves of the taro were growing. Autumn is getting deeper.

Shooting location

Nagatsutadai Agricultural Area

Comments

It is a work that catches your eye with the whole being wrapped in dazzling light. The pampas grass in the foreground also becomes a part of the glow, and the eyes gather on the leaves beyond it. I think the reason why the taro leaves get wet in the morning dew and feel divine is because the photographer looks at this scenery in everyday life with a lovely gaze. (Mr. Hideo Mori)

Supplementary prize

Certificate of merit, book card worth 3,000 yen, souvenir

"Twilight," Mr. Teruyuki Jiangsu

Hideo Mori Excellence Award

Photographer comment

In the evening of a sunny autumn day, a beautiful sunset illuminated the city and the torii gate.
There was a field in the foreground, and the greenhouse was dyed light red, creating a beautiful landscape.

Shooting location

Mount Takao

Comments

The presence of the torii gate clearly floating in the beautiful sunset sky is impressive. The shadow of the details of the torii gate, which was lit by the sunset, enhances nostalgia. It feels like the lights of buildings and towns under construction in the distance represent the old and new of the city. (Mr. Hideo Mori)

Supplementary prize

Certificate of merit, book card worth 3,000 yen, souvenir

President's Award of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government Associations

"News from Spring," Mr. Harahiro

Chairman's Award of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government

Photographer comment

Cherry blossoms bloomed, Tsukushi began to bud, and I felt the coming of spring and vitality and photographed it.

Shooting location

Tsurumi River embankment

Comments

Mr. Takemura Kimura

This photo goes well with the theme of "Midori Ward Flowers, Greenery and Agriculture", and the composition of cherry blossoms and Tsukushi is good. "Spring is finally working," I feel excited. (Mr. Takeru Kimura, Chairman of the Association of Self-Government of Midori Ward)

Supplementary prize

"Midori Mayor's Award"

"Fujidana in Kirigaoka," Isao Nakamura

Sea of clouds in Midori Ward

Photographer comment

In spring, the wisteria of Fujidana was in full bloom, and it was photographed because the mauve of flowers, green leaves, and blue sky were mixed.

Shooting location

Kirigaoka Green Town

Comments

Yasuhiro Sato

The contrast between the bright wisteria purple, the green leaves, and the blue of the sky attracted attention. It's a piece that makes you feel the warm spring and makes you want to see it in the coming season. (Yasuhiro Sato, Midori Director General, Yokohama)
