"Familiar Four Seasons (along the Onda River) Morning Moya" Katsumasa Kato

Hideo Mori Grand Prize
"Four Seasons Familiar Four Seasons (along Onda River) Morning Moya" Photographer: Mr. Katsumasa Kato

Photographer comment

I'm walking along the Onda River for commuting. I took a picture of the four seasons in the same place with my smartphone.

Shooting location

Along the Onda River, Tokaichiba-cho, Midori-ku, Yokohama

Comment by Mr. Hideo Mori

Mr. Hideo Mori

The morning haze bathed in the morning sun is mysterious.
It looks like a divine painting, and the existence of a greenhouse makes people feel casually.
At the end of the gradation of the hazy trees, the stump tightened the overall composition.

2 points of "Mori Hideo Excellence Award" (Additional Award: Certificate of merit, 3,000 yen of book card, souvenir)

"The process of rice cultivation (final)" Yoshiyuki Sweepbe

Hideo Mori Excellence Award
"The process of rice cultivation (final)" Photographer: Mr. Yoshiyuki Sweepbe

Photographer comment

The Tando Field Protection Association celebrated rice planting in March to rice planting in June, rice harvesting in October, and charcoal making rice husks in November.

Shooting location

Niiharucho, Midori-ku, Yokohama-shi

Comment by Mr. Hideo Mori

The smoke that burns the rice husks seems to be illuminated by the light, and even the fragrant smell is transmitted. The figure of the person working in the smoke makes you feel the nostalgia with strength. It's a scene unique to Midori Ward.

"Hikobae," Kenji Nonaka

Hideo Mori Excellence Award
"Hikobae" Photographer: Mr. Kenji Nonaka

Photographer comment

Shooting by contrasting the bright green hikobae, illuminated by the sunset, and the rice straw left uncuted with a combine.

Shooting location

Rice fields near Nakayama, Midori-ku, Yokohama

Comment by Mr. Hideo Mori

The sense of perspective is effectively used to create a powerful picture. Backlight also becomes a spice of composition, making contrast, and the straw has a presence like a creature.

1 prize of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government Presidency Chairman's Award (supplementary prize: certificate, 3,000 yen of book card, souvenir)

"Shinji no Mori" Mr. Tadashi Hosokubo

Chairman's Award of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government
"Shinji no Mori" Photographer: Mr. Tadashi Hosokubo

Photographer comment

The forest of Shinji citizens is well maintained and is always loved and used by citizens. I want you to keep this scene that you can't imagine as Yokohama.

Shooting location

Niiharucho, Midori-ku, Yokohama-shi

Comment by Toshimasa Inoue (Chairman of the Midori Ward Association of Self-Government Associations)

Mr. Toshimasa Inoue

A well-maintained figure of Shinji citizen's forest is photographed. It seems that the thoughts of those who love the forest are reflected together with the rich nature.
In recent years, when forests are becoming scarce, this is a piece of "Midori Ward-like figure" that we want to protect carefully and preserve in the future.

"Midori Mayor's Award" 1 point (supplementary prize: certificate, book card 3,000 yen, souvenir)

Kazuyo Kurakata, "The Sea of Clouds of Midori Ward"

Sea of clouds in Midori Ward
"The Sea of Clouds in Midori Ward" Photographer: Mr. Kazuyo Kurakata

Photographer comment

On the morning when the cold rain fell the night before, I was impressed by the sea of clouds formed in Tokaichiba.

Shooting location

Tookaichibacho, Midori-ku, Yokohama-shi

Okada: Comment from Midori Director General, Yokohama

Ms. Okada

Along the Onda River, there is a lot of farmland like Midori Ward.
This work captures the moment when the Onda River is wrapped in a sea of clouds, and it was impressive with a fantastic and beautiful scenery as if you had left the real world and lost in the dream world.
