2023 Theme
In 2027, the International Horticultural Exposition "GREEN x EXPO 2027" (outside site) will come to Yokohama.
This year, please submit photos of Midori Ward's landscape, nature, culture, history and activities based on the theme that will lead to GREEN × EXPO 2027.
I want to rediscover the rich nature of Midori Ward with you before 2027 through the unique experience of local photo contests.

※Applications by e-mail will not be accepted.
※We accept mail, bringing of CD-R only for those who cannot use the Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification System. For details, please refer to the application guidelines.
Photography Standards
- Photos taken in Midori Ward, Yokohama or related to Midori Ward, which can be applied in digital data. Up to 3 points per person. ※1
- Photos taken between January 2020 and November 2023, which have not been announced by the company or will not be announced in other contests in the future. ※2
- The file format of the image data is JPEG format. 10MB or less per sheet.
- Group photos and multiple photos cannot be synthesized. Minor processing such as trimming and brightness correction is possible. ※3
- We recommend more than 3 million pixels and more than 1MB based on the use of printed materials.
- If a person is shown as a subject, be sure to obtain the consent of the person (subject) so as not to infringe on the portrait right.
※1 Multiple photos of the same subject cannot be submitted.
※2 You can apply for works posted on personal blogs and SNS.
※3 The ward office does not process data for application.

Born in Yokohama. A member of JPS (Japan Photographers Association). The port, city, and people of Yokohama, who have been taking pictures for many years, have been named "Observation of Forests," and have presented many of these works in photo books and solo exhibitions.

Results Presentation/Exhibition (planned)
- The winners will be notified directly. It will also be announced on the Midori Ward website (scheduled for February 2024).
- Works will be exhibited at the Midori Ward Office (scheduled for February 2024).
- We announce in public information Yokohama Midori Ward version.
Conditions for winning
The prize-winning condition is that you agree to publish and present your work at the Midori Ward Photo Archive.
- Prize-winning works can be used free of charge in publications issued by Yokohama City without the permission of the photographer.
- Under the terms and conditions stipulated in the Midori Ward Photo Archive Terms of Use (such as displaying a license), anyone can use it free of charge without obtaining permission from the photographer.
- The provider of the winning work shall not exercise the moral rights of the winning work.
※Property rights such as copyright and ownership of other submitted works belong to the photographer.
We will send a confirmation survey (name, work name, other desired items, etc.) to the winning candidate.
If there is no reply by the deadline, you will be deemed to have abstained from winning the prize.

Handling of Personal Information
- Personal information provided to the Midori Ward Office through this contest will be used to announce winning works, notify the results of the screening, etc., and will not be used for any purpose other than the purpose of use.
- The name, title, date of shooting, and location of the photographer may be specified when using the work in public relations advertising materials for the purpose of presenting a prize or promoting the appeal of Midori Ward.
