W-eco-p (Wi-Cop) Activity Report FY2024

Training was conducted for new employees in Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture.
After receiving an explanation from Water Works Bureau about the water source forest conservation, I learned that "protecting forests means protecting water."

We exhibited at the Hamako Channel Festival 2024 held at the Atrium on the first floor of Yokohama City Hall, and publicized how water brought from water sources would be cleaned at the water purification plant through a filtration experiment.

We conducted a tour in Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture for employees' families.
We learned about the water source forest conservation through lectures from Water Works Bureau, tree planting, pruning, and woodwork using thinned wood.

At the “Rehome EXPO” held at the Sangyo Hall, we distributed “wood chips” made from thinned cypress wood from Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, and publicized our environmental initiatives.

At all 61 stores, we distributed 6,000 "wood chips", which were crushed from thinned cypress wood from Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, along with a message stating the importance of water source forests, and publicized our environmental efforts.

"Summer Vacation SDGs Fair" was held at the event hall on the 7th floor of Keikyu Department Store.
At the PR booth at Doshi Water Source Forest conservation, we had children experience log cutting using thinned wood with the cooperation of the NPO Humanitarian Shi Water Source Forest Volunteer Association.
