Illegal dumping is a serious crime!
"Illegal dumping is taking place right in front of me." "I'm going to dump illegally." "I ran away after dumping illegal dumping."
In such a case, please call the police immediately. In addition, please contact police station (outside site) or Kanagawa prefectural police "environmental crime hotline (outside site)" or Resources Reuse Promotion of ward office for information such as knowing where illegal dumping is located.
If you write down the location, time, car number, etc., it will be easier to identify the dumper, so please cooperate.

Article 16 No one shall dispose of waste unnecessarily.
Article 25 Any person who falls under any of the following items shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than five years or a fine of not more than 10 million yen, or shall be subject to both.
14 A person who discards waste in violation of the provisions of Article 16
Article 32 If a representative of a corporation or a proxy/agent, employee, or other employee of a corporation or person commits an act of violating the provisions of the following items with respect to the business of that corporation or person, the actor shall be punished. In addition, the corporation shall be fined as stipulated in each item and the person shall be fined in each Honjo.
(I) (i) (1) to (4) of Article 25, paragraphs (1) to (4), items (15) or paragraph (2): Penalties of less than 300 million yen

The owner or manager of the land / building shall endeavor to keep the place clean and, when the waste is dumped, dispose of the waste at its own risk.
In order to prevent illegal dumping, be sure to pay close attention to land management on a daily basis, such as by setting up enclosure so that people do not enter unnecessarily.

• Enclose the surroundings with fences, nets, ropes, etc., so that they do not enter.
• Always cut grass to broaden your view and keep it clean.
• Warning signs such as "Prevention of illegal dumping." (Warning signs are also handed out in the city. Please contact us.
• Share information on suspicious individual and unfamiliar cars with local communities.

If you see marine pollution such as illegal dumping of waste into the sea, please report to the Japan Coast Guard (outside site) or the Yokohama Coast Guard Department (TEL: 045-201-4522).
