Illegal dumping is a serious crime!
"Illegal dumping is taking place right in front of me now." "I'm going to dump illegally." "I ran away after illegal dumping."
In such a case, please call the police at 110 immediately. In addition, please contact the police station in charge (outside site) or the Kanagawa Prefectural Police "Environmental Crime Hotline (outside site)" or Resources Reuse Promotion of the ward office for information such as knowing where illegal dumping is located.
If you write down the place, time, car number, etc. where you are dumping, it will be easier to identify the dumper, so please cooperate.

Article 16 No one shall discard waste unnecessarily.
Article 25 A person who falls under any of the following items shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than five years or a fine of not more than 10 million yen, or shall be subject to both.
A person who has disposed of waste in violation of the provisions of Article 16
Article 32 If a representative of a corporation or a proxy/agent, employee or other employee of a corporation or person commits a violation of the provisions set forth in the following items in relation to the business of that corporation or person, the actor shall be punished. In addition to punishing, the corporation shall be fined specified in each item and the person shall be fined by Honjo.
Article 25, paragraphs (1) to (4), items (12), (14) or (15) or (2): Penalties of up to 300 million yen

Land / building owners or managers must endeavor to keep the area clean and dispose of the waste at their own risk when waste is discarded.
In order to prevent illegal dumping, be sure to pay close attention to land management on a daily basis, such as setting up enclosures so that people do not enter unnecessarily.

• Surround the surroundings with fences, nets, ropes, etc. to prevent them from entering.
• Cut the grass on a regular basis to widen your visibility and keep it clean.
• Install warning signs such as "prevention of illegal dumping". (The warning signs are also handed out in the city. Please contact us.
• Share information on suspicious individual and unfamiliar vehicles in the community.

If you see marine pollution such as illegal dumping of waste into the sea, please report it to the Japan Coast Guard (outside site) or the Yokohama Coast Guard (TEL: 045-201-4522).

In cooperation with related organizations and residents, we implement preventive measures according to the local situation.
