Marine pollution caused by plastic waste has become a global problem. Yokohama City will hold an event for elementary school students to think about marine pollution caused by plastic waste during Environment Month in June. On the day of the event, there are programs that children can enjoy and learn, such as work and concerts.

[Part 1] 13:00-14:00 Talk & Work by Takeshi Osumi, Inc.

Takeshi Osumi, Representative Director, Osumi Co., Ltd.

Invite businesses that conduct environmental analysis surveys of rivers and seas, and have fun thinking about where plastic garbage flowing into the sea came from and why it flowed into the sea, with work and games .

About Mr. Takeshi Osumi, Inc.

Born and raised in Yokohama. When I was a child, I ran around the mountains with boy scouts, and since I became an adult, I enjoyed outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, camping, canoeing, and cycling. In 2003, he became the representative of Osumi Co., Ltd., where he provides environmental consulting for customers. In order to preserve the rich global environment for the next generation, we will also focus on environmental education and social contribution activities.

Marine Garbage Musical Instrument Group

We invite an art group that operates the “marine garbage instrument”, which is made from marine garbage collected by walking across the coasts nationwide as the main raw material, and enjoy music and think about garbage and resources together while enjoying music.

About the Marine Garbage Instrument Group

An art group that considers the boundaries between garbage and resources through musical instruments made from marine litter based on the concept of marine litter and folk instruments. The high quality and ensemble of the instruments have been receiving feedback not only from Japan but also overseas. Formed in 2020.
