Overview of System
Under this system, Yokohama City will certify businesses working to achieve the SDGs, shift to sustainable management and operation, expand new customers and business partners, and utilize them for investment and loan decisions such as ESG investment by investors and financial institutions.

Eligible businesses
Businesses that are actively engaged in achieving the SDGs
(Companies, various groups, NPO corporations, social movement groups, etc. outside the city)
Evaluation items and certification categories
Evaluation will be conducted in 30 items in four areas of the environment, society, governance and region.
The evaluation score is determined by the maturity of the efforts in each evaluation item, and certification is made in three categories.
※The total score is 80% or more, the highest is 60% or more, and the standard is 30% or more.
Certification Period
4 years (until the first March 31 after 4 years have passed since the certification date)
※During the period, it is also possible to apply again (rank-up application) with the aim of obtaining higher certification.

Flow of Procedure
※What is the Yokohama SDGs Design Center? This is an organization jointly established and operated by Yokohama City and private businesses, and is an intermediate support organization that connects various actors to achieve the SDGs and solve regional issues in Yokohama.
Certification benefits provided by Yokohama City and Yokohama SDGs Design Center
①The certification mark can be displayed on business cards and websites of companies.
②We publicize certification business name and approach contents on homepages of Yokohama-shi or Yokohama SDGs design center.
③You can give priority to various matching events and seminars held by the Yokohama SDGs Design Center.
④You can participate in exchange meetings, etc., where you can publicize the efforts of your company and your organization.
⑤In the evaluation items of the "Yokohama City Comprehensive Evaluation Successful bid method", points will be added. (3 points for Supreme, 2 points for Superior, 1 point for Standard) In addition, some points may be added to the proposal-based consignment contracts implemented by Yokohama City.
⑥Normally, only companies with more than 100 employees can use the service "Social Contribution Workplace Sales Site (outside site)" regardless of the number of employees.
⑦At the signage of smartphone charger rental "charge spot" (developed by INFORICH Co., Ltd.), which is installed at SDGs Station Yokohama Sekinai (Municipal Subway Kannai Station), we will introduce our own and our own organization's SDGs initiatives. ⑧You can receive a subsidy for credit guarantee fees when using the Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Loan Program "SDGs Yokohama Fund". (0.25% Grant)
⑨Due to city capital investment, etc., you may be able to use the local regeneration support interest subsidy system. (5 years, up to 0.7% interest replenishment)
