Y-SDGs Financial Task Force

Through the operation of the Y-SDGs certification system, Yokohama City is working to achieve sustainable management and operation, acquire new customers, expand business partners, and to invest in ESG investments by investors and financial institutions.
In collaboration with the Yokohama SDGs Design Center, Yokohama City has established the Y-SDGs Financial Task Force to promote the government's "Creating an autonomous virtuous cycle through regional revitalization SDGs finance" and to work toward achieving the SDGs and realizing a decarbonized society.
Financial institutions that support the purpose, Yokohama SDGs Design Center, Yokohama City, and cooperating organizations will strengthen cooperation through regular meetings of the Y-SDGs Financial Task Force, and will engage in various activities such as dissemination of SDGs to business operators in the city using the certification system "Y-SDGs" certification system and the promotion of initiatives.

Details of initiatives

(1) Study on issues related to the achievement of the SDGs and the realization of a decarbonized society through the creation of an autonomous virtuous cycle through finance and the realization of a decarbonized society
(2) Promotion of SDGs to business operators in the city using the Y-SDGs certification system "Y-SDGs" and promote initiatives
(3) Activities to promote exchange and cooperation between Yokohama City and Yokohama SDGs Design Center and related financial institutions
(4) Other necessary items to achieve the objectives of the Y-SDGs Financial Task Force
