Yokohama City EV bus spread promotion subsidy

 In Yokohama City, in order to promote the spread of EV buses, we will support a part of the introduction cost for general shared passenger car transport companies that introduce charging facilities for EV buses and EV buses.

Applications for 2024 have been closed on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Subsidized persons

(1) General shared passenger car carrier
(2) General chartered passenger car carrier
(3) Private paid passenger carrier registered under Article 79 of the Road Transport Act
(4) Leasing companies
(5) Others recognized by the mayor

※When introducing a subsidized EV bus and EV bus charging equipment under a lease contract, the leasing company must apply.

Vehicles and charging facilities to be subsidized

 EV buses and charging facilities to be issued by the Ministry of the Environment's FY2023 supplementary project "Subsidies for Measures to Promote Decarbonized Growth-Type Economic Structure Transition (Project for Promoting Electrification of Commercial Vehicles (Taxi / Bus)" Please refer to "List of vehicles targeted for assistance (bus)" and "Charging equipment targeted for assistance" on the following website for specific models and model numbers of charging equipment.

EV bus

[Auxiliary Requirements] Those that meet all of the following requirements:
(1) Vehicles to be subsidized have started the subsidized project on or after April 1 of the application year, and converted vehicles that were initially registered (excluding first-time registered vehicles of used imported vehicles) or buses in the process of use into EV buses. Being a vehicle that has been converted. The start date of the subsidized project is the “vehicle registration date” (if the vehicle is converted to an EV bus, the registration date after the remodeling), the “vehicle delivery date” or “the completion of the purchase price payment or the full amount. The date on which the contract procedure (including lease contract) in which payment is secured is completed ”.
(2) The Address, located in the city of Yokohama, is located in the location of the vehicle inspection certificate issued pursuant to Article 60, Paragraph 1 of the Road Transport Vehicle Act.
(3) If there is a subsidy from a country or other organization that can be received (hereinafter referred to as “national subsidy, etc.”), you must apply for the grant of the subsidy. But it is not this limit when it is not possible to apply for grant such as national assistance, and the mayor recognizes.
(4) Vehicles to be subsidized must be provided as a bus for visitors in principle during the GREEN x EXPO 2027 during the GREEN x EXPO 2027. However, if it is difficult to provide it as a bus for visitors, the response will be discussed with the mayor.
(5) In order to foster the momentum of GREEN × EXPO 2027, publicize by displaying the logo mark etc. shown in Appendix 2 of the outline on the car body until the end of GREEN × EXPO 2027. But when indication such as logo marks cannot be made, we shall discuss the correspondence with the mayor.

Charging facilities for EV buses

[Auxiliary Requirements] Those that meet all of the following requirements:
(1) The equipment to be subsidized must be the equipment (excluding used goods) that started the subsidized project after the grant is decided in the application year and was installed. The start date of the subsidized project shall be the “construction start date”.
(2) Subsidized facilities will be installed at city offices and will be used to charge EV buses in principle.
(3) If there is national assistance, etc., apply for the grant of the subsidy. But it is not this limit when it is not possible to apply for grant such as national assistance, and the mayor recognizes.

Remarks
1 Being subsidized by the Ministry of the Environment.
2 The amount of subsidy shall be the lower of (1) subsidy grant application amount, (2) the amount obtained by multiplying the amount obtained by subtracting the grant amount such as national subsidy from the subsidized expenses by the subsidy rate, and (3) the upper limit of subsidy.
If a fraction of less than 3,000 yen occurs, this shall be rounded down.

Grant application

Please submit grant application (first style) more than three weeks before business start date.
[Deadline] Until Friday, December 13, 2024
      If the subsidy budget (25,000,000 yen) is reached, the application will be closed before the deadline.

①The start date of the EV bus subsidy project is the earliest of the following:
 1 Vehicle registration date (if the vehicle is converted to an EV bus, the registration date after remodeling)
 2 Delivery date of the vehicle
 3 Date on which the payment of the purchase price is completed or the completion of the contract procedure (including lease contracts) in which the full payment is secured is secured.

②For charging facilities for EV buses, the start date will be the start date.

・After examining the contents of the grant application, we will send you a notification of the grant decision.
・When we start business targeted for assistance before grant decision of city, we cannot receive grant of subsidy.

Performance Report

 After completion of business targeted for assistance, please submit results report (eighth style) immediately.
[Deadline] Until 30 days have passed since the completion date of the subsidized project or until Friday, March 14, 2025 (if the day is a closed day, the previous open day), whichever comes first

①The completion date of the EV bus subsidy project is the slowest of the following:
 1 Vehicle registration date (if the vehicle is converted to an EV bus, the registration date after remodeling)
 2 Delivery date of the vehicle
 3 Date on which the payment of the purchase price is completed or the completion of the contract procedure (including lease contracts) in which the full payment is secured is secured.

②The completion date of the EV bus charging facility assistance project is the latest of the following:
 1. Date of completion of construction
 2 Delivery date of equipment
 3 Date on which the payment of the purchase price is completed or the completion of the contract procedure (including lease contracts) in which the full payment is secured is secured.

・After examining the contents of the performance report, we will send you a subsidy grant amount confirmation letter.

Grant of subsidy (about submission of invoice)

・After receiving the subsidy grant amount confirmation letter, please submit the invoice (No. 10 style) immediately.
[Deadline] Until Friday, April 12, 2025
・Approximately 30 days after receiving the legal invoice, the subsidy will be transferred to the designated financial institution.

・Please make the invoice in PDF format, set the password, and send it from the address of the applicant or the address of the assignee described in the power of attorney.

Notes
